Ebay replaced the "inbox" with a useless "live" button on bottom of app!!!!
Summary: siamjane8 expresses frustration that eBay has replaced the "inbox" feature in their app with a "live" button, which they find useless. This change has sparked a discussion, which includes a response from eburtonlab, although the content of the response is not provided.
This needs an immediate rollback ebay! the "live" button should have never replaced the "inbox" button!! We use the inbox button 75x a day - it is basically the notifications button and we need easy acces to it- now we have to open the ebay app and then hit the "my ebay" button to have acces to notificaitons-----you basically doubled the user input to se what we all need to see all the time, and for a button that a very few select users may be interesred in???? give us back the inbox button.... and while your at it please add the messages icon to that that page as well- I'll never understand why ebay designers contine to hide the most basic functions behind layers of pages- its is very industry standard what users need at their fingertips- why make us click into screen after screen to find them?
Another issue with the app is that the search sort filters are ONLY visible in the main search page now- so if we are in "send offers", or "my listings" etc- you cannot change the sort order at the top of the page.....you must navigate back to the main search page and change it there- then it effects all other pages.
Just give us the filters we need on every screen to make using the app functional please!

·3 months agoFor me, the green "eBay Live" button is at the top of the home screen below the search bar, and the bell Inbox icon is still at the bottom navigation bar where it's always been.
