Can't remove watched item
In the mobile app (iPhone and iPad), I am unable to successfully delete a watched item. I can unwatch it, but it is still showing up on the mail screen. When I access my watched items, it's not showing up there. It only shows up on the main screen. I have tried logging out & logging back in, as well as uninstalling & installing the app. I have also blocked the seller as a last resort, but the item is still there. I will literally never watch another item because of this. It's been going on for a week.

·10 months agoYour unwatched items showing up on the home screen are probably under the header "Recently Viewed". Unwatching them doesn't change the fact that you recently viewed them. Tap the "Edit" button under the header, then select the items you don't want to see. Hit "Delete", and it's out of your life forever (you may need to refresh the page when you return to the home page).

OP10 months agoThanks for your valued input, rather than simply saying I was overreacting. After 10 days it finally went away. The thing that was happening was, I would remove it as a watched item by unselecting the heart and clearing my watched items list and it would automatically re-select itself as watched. No other item did that though. It was reserved to one specific T-shirt. I've been on eBay 25 years and hadn't had that happen before. It was an obvious glitch in the system, but that didn't make it any less annoying. I appreciate your kindness and wish you a great day ðŸ™ðŸ»

Have to agree with @hartungcards as these actions seem quite extreme and this issue could honestly be just a minor glitch in the system?

OP10 months agoExtreme, yes, as no seller should have to do all of those things in order to get an item off of a watchlist that we never intended to watch. I accidentally clicked it when scrolling and it just sits there now. I want it gone because the seller keeps reducing the price and I keep getting notifications. Seller to seller, we both know those notifications get irritating when we have no intention of buying something. When my notifications light up I am hoping for a sale or at least a question from an interested buyer. That's all it's about.

When my notifications light up I am expecting to be told that something I'm not really interested in is ending soon. And I'm rarely disappointed.

·10 months agoSo your problem is with notifications, not with "watching" or looking at an item.

OP10 months agoHello and thank you for your reply. The problem resolved on its own after 10 days, which was clearly a glitch in the system. The problem was that I couldn't unwatch the watched item. Everytime I did it would revert back to a watched status. I can't say I ever had that happen before, but it's all good now. Thanks very much again.

OP10 months agoIt was not an overreaction, nor was blocking the seller intended to hurt the seller. It was a last resort attempt to get the item off of my screen. I unblocked the seller when it didn't work. There is definitely a glitch and I reached out to eBay about it. Watchers are not good for business. They are no different than the people who walk into a brick and mortar store, find something they like and say to the owner or employee "I'll be back." 99% of the time they will not be back. Saying that is a psychological reaction to being seen admiring something. I've been on eBay 25 years and have had over 100 people watching an item, and even as I reduce the price time and again it doesn't sell. I find most watchers are other sellers looking for price points. And when they are interested buyers, we all did better on eBay when impulse buys ruled the kingdom. The ability to watch did away with that.
