Can't get logged in on the ebay app

I get an error message when trying to use the ebay app. This started happening Tuesday night. Ebay needs to fix their app. I can't use my phone to get on ebay and this is a big inconvenience. Please advise.

What does the error message say?

Be sure you have the latest version of the eBay app for your operating system; older versions may stop working or show random errors.

You should still be able to use a browser on your phone to reach eBay.
