Your Buyer Sends A Cancellation Notice
Your Buyer Sends A Cancellation Notice and now you're wondering what to do. UNLESS, you are willing to let the buyer walk away with no consequences for defaulting on his/her bid/offer, do NOTHING! I made the mistake of declining. The other option was Accept. Had I know before declining what I know now, I would have done nothing. If you decline, ebay locks you out of being able to cancel if the buyer does not pay with the 4 day period they are allowed. Therefore you cannot cancel the order and say the reason is a non-paying bidder or whatever. Worse still, ebay customer support will not help one iota. I know this after a long early 1 hour chat. So, do nothing, let the clock tick of 96 hours, cancel the order for reason of a non-paying bidder. This should credit you with any final value fees, free up your inventory so you can resell and stick the buyer with a non paying strike. There are some good things about ebay but are outweighed by the bad things they do not seen to want to fix, like CS Agents who do NOT listen!
