⚠️ WARNING: SCAMMERS ON eBay—WATCH OUT! ⚠️
The user bru903794 attempted to scam my wife and me by sending us a QR code. Because we are new eBay sellers, we believed the code was part of the process for setting up our payment method.
After scanning the code, I entered the requested information. Almost immediately, I received multiple fraud alerts from my bank regarding attempted withdrawals of approximately $3,000, $2,000, $1,500, and other amounts.
We immediately contacted the bank and reported the fraud. Fortunately, the bank detected the suspicious activity and prevented the transactions from being completed.
Please be extremely cautious of scams involving QR codes, and especially of any communication from the user bru903794.
