Negative feedback from a scam seller
Summary: therock_96 expressed frustration about a problematic buyer on eBay who frequently engages in lowballing and leaving unfair feedback. They canceled a transaction with this buyer, resulting in negative feedback, partly removed by eBay for policy violations. However, the feedback remains visible. therock_96 is seeking advice on possible actions, feeling unsupported by eBay despite having a strong seller record compared to the purchaser.
I sold a slightly used nba jersey, basically almost new. Before packing it up I noticed this buyer has a history of lowballing and asking for partial refund or threatening to give bad feedback which he has numerous times. The followup feedback from sellers warns of this behavior and this seller actually brags about it on this home ebay page. Out of caution I cancelled the order. However he then leaves bad feedback with comments that ebay removed due to a policy violation but ebay does not remove the whole feedback. Nothing was never shipped, just refunded so no transaction. The reason for not removing is because they say they specialize in these type of cases and found no reason to remove it. Really. WOW ebay great job protecting the sellers from buyers that all they do is try to scam people. I have over 4800 feedback while this buyer only has less than 150 and they take his side for not full removal. Is there anything I could do or just SOL.?
