eBay charges on shipping!
I’ve been buying and selling on eBay for years and never new this: eBay charges a final value fee on the price of the item PLUS the shipping. I am not a business and only sell items (usually) under $50. I sold a pair of shoes the other day for $5.00 and the shipping was $12.00. I paid fees on $17.00. My deposit on that sale was $2.08. I suppose I should have been more diligent. Until the past 6 to 8 months, the number of sales I made in a week masked the fees and I didn’t notice. That pair of shoes was the only sale I made last week. I’m seriously considering moving to a different selling platform. A friend of mine is making several hundred dollars a month on Depop. Any other suggestions?
