Miniature Masterpieces: Please Help ID Mark. Andrew & Betsy Wyeth?
Not sure if I'm on the correct board for help? These boxes are very recent purchases from a Lower Merion, Pennsylvania thrift. They're tiny (largest size: 2-1/2 in.) little masterpieces to my eyes (just look at that little girl blowing-bubbles, or chasing butterflies with her net, so darn cute! 😊). They're made of very heavy, think-gauge sterling, 18K, 14K, ivory, and semi-precious stones. The triangular piece at bottom center is an early piece by Philadelphia native, Donald Pywell (1944 - 2016). All these lil' guys I believe were made by Pennsylvania gold/metalsmiths(?) circa, 1960s. Pywell worked extensively with both Andrew & Betsy Wyeth for many years, with Betsy often commissioning pieces from Pywell. Hence my question......
The pieces at far left & right are marked with a conjoined/monogram: ABW or AB. Could these be by/for the Wyeth's or another smith all together? I thank you all so much for your time and help.
P.S. these are keepers and will not be going up for sale. Thank you all again!
