Thoughts, opinions on Aurora Borealis set?
Hello everyone,
Mom’s friend gave me some stuff to sell on eBay. I immediately saw this necklace was made well. Saw a siggie, grabbed my magnifying glass. To my happy surprise it is signed Carnegie. 😊
These earrings were in the same box with it. Do you think they go together?

·2 years agoI too don't see an AB coating on the necklace, so doubt it's a set. It is however, a lovely marriage that should last a lifetime.

OP2 years agoThanks ladies! There is actually an AB coating on the faceted beads on the necklace, hard to capture in photos. The seed beads do not have the coating. I do think the coating on the earrings is brighter and some of the metal links look a little brighter too.
Sandy, would you list as a married set? Or list necklace and surprise buyer with BONUS earrings?

·2 years agoI think I would sell them as a marriage. Now that you have said there is an AB coating on the beads of the necklace they will be a nicer marriage. The way you describe the differences between the AB coatings, I think the earrings may be newer. It looks like the earrings have a different faceting on the beads, so I think you are still safer to call it a marriage. They will look beautiful together.

Reason is the earrings have AB crystals, while the extender chain on the necklace appears to be uncoated.
