I watched a news report via 60 minutes a few months back about Hermes and their process of handbags. Quite interesting, some controversy, and obviously a high end designer with handmade quality. Takes maker's years of schooling to master the stitches.
Wow! Every now and then I come across a youtube video of someone wanting to sell their Birkin. They are met with a woman wearing white gloves and handling the purse oh so carefully. It usually results in an offer of $10,000 to $50,000 depending on style, color, condition, etc.
There's even a song out by Shaboozey that begins, "My baby bought Birkin. She's been tellin' me all night long..." I guess it's the holy grail of purse collecting 😀.

·1 year agoThis was a holy grail owner's holy grail. It's the original prototype, as used by Jane Birkin. There's only one, so no wonder it went sky high.
