Palm Sunday Eye Candy Wednesday
It's cold, it's blowing... whatthe(bleep) was it SNOWING? Get some seasonal Eye candy out there if you have some. Keep the images smaller to speed loading, and as always nothing from a live auction.
I finally found some stuff this weekend! The first picture is of some beads that were made correctly but the color was funny. They sure smell like bakelite though. On another board they clued me in - search under dark cherry amber faturan. I paid $2 for the baggie. Hiding behind them were some amber beads that cost a whole dollar. The chalcedony, dyed, was $2. My sister has dibs on those. The bracelet was either a dollar or a freebie, because the elastic died and so did whatever was used in the black inlay. And yes, it's made of something we can't sell here. The second image was a surprise. I took a blacklight to the four(!) amber strands I found, one reacted, and these two supermarket markdown tags were sitting in the dark closet. They lit up like beacons.

OP1 year agoHoo! Nice! My favorite is the Japanese one. My mom always said "what do you want with that old stuff" when I'd bring home books on Mid-century decorating from the Library book sale. They'd be worth a fortune if I still had them. The books left, the influence lingers, and I still like mid-century and Asian influence. The pin is Mid-century Asian...bingo!
