·8 months agoHas anyone seen the jewelry listings that say "Plus Size"? I ran across that the first time a few weeks ago. I get it for some things, being larger than average. I can't wear a 16-inch choker for instance, and I suppose if I wore anklets, I'd need a larger size. But how does that translate to earrings or longer necklaces? I've always made my bracelets a little larger, but that's just me. Are we supposed to be wearing larger earrings or longer necklaces and no one told me?

·8 months agoI periodically search on "jewelry trends", and it amuses me no end that everyone has different predictions.
I make and sell jewelry on the other "E" site. I've started relying on what I see selling and what other makers are doing.
Certain things just never go out of style though, and some things will always have their audience. I can't be everything to everyone, so I try to concentrate on what I do best and know I have an audience for.
But come on, who's going to wear a cord pendant down to their belly button?

I’ve been on a sacred stone kick lately I guess. A friend of mine wraps them so nice and at Christmas every year she runs a $20 a piece special. I buy up several to gift and to keep. I’m fascinated by the different shapes and colors of stones, and also the different color wires she chooses to wrap.

OP8 months agoI agree. Rhinestones are really pretty, especially the specialty stones.....But nothing beats mother nature. I have seen some of the most beautiful stones from her, stones I can get lost it.

·8 months agoI must have misunderstood the trend. All of the ones I got from her are semi precious stones, although she does sell some man made too.

OP9 months agoLOL, I thought the same thing Scifi. It's like the "new" color trend and am thinking I still wear that color only I call it orange instead of salmon or coral.

·9 months agoNot sure they can put a trend label on costume jewelry. I'd like to think vintage costume jewelry is always trending 😀.
P.S. I agree with Sarah about disliking cord jewelry.

I can deal with all those except the corded jewelry..have never liked it & never will!
