I need someone to tell me what these are not sure they are jewelry
The material is some type of plastic or maybe bakelite, I have searched all over the net and can't find out what these are. They do connect in the center with a simple hook closure, at first I tought some type of clothing embelishment but I am unsure. They are approximately 2 1/2" in length. All help would be most appreciated.

·8 months agoDecorative hook and eye fastener. You'd sew the shank button backs onto a garment. It would close something like a cardigan, cloak, etc.

·8 months agoAgreed about not lotting it. I'd market to the knitting/sewing crowd. Don't even need a collector, just someone that's looking for the right embellishment to finish their project.

I`m taking a WAG here & saying they look like the clasp part of on old celluloid or plastic necklace. Would have have the plastic links going thru the loops on the back. BUT..that`s just a initial reaction.
I`ll nose around when I get my 1st cup of coffee started on it`s journey to my brain!

OP8 months agoThanks Sarah. I guess I will put these into a lot. Or maybe hold till garage sale. I just looked at them again and tey have a plastic loop that you could sew these on clothes. There isa tag that says bakelite and buttons with hooks
