HURRICANE MILTON
Just taking a moment to ask everyone that will, to pray for those in the path of this deadly storm.
I know we have some boardies in that area..gauntlettgems for one & I`m sure others..GG hope you will be safe. Just don`t know how more we, as a nation, can endure of this.
Father God, I ask that you be with everyone that will be affected by this storm. Protect those that could not evacuate for whatever reason. After it has passed, continue to bring some much needed peace & comfort to those that will have lost everything. Let them feel your presence as they begin to rebuild their lives I pray that the loss of lives will be minimal. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

OP1 year agoAbsolutely mr_l !! Way too much tragedy recently..it hurts the heart.
I`m happy things were not worse than what they were in Fla (bad enough I know) but thinking of what could have happened is mind boggling!
I appreciate everyones` good thoughts and prayers.

You are more than welcome. I've been to quite a few places in Florida and know how low and generally flat the state is. Very susceptible to major weather events like this. However, they had a good evacuation plant in place, executed it well and hopefully all those affected have insurance to cover any losses they incurred.

I am in Fort Lauderdale under Tropical Storm warning and until an hour ago tornado warning , It is pretty calm down here but having been in several bad hurricanes ( I don't know if you ever saw or read the story eBay did about me ) I am praying for everyone that is in the path of this hurricane.
GG was posting a while ago that there were tornados every where, where she is at. She lives like 2 hours from me on the east coast so we do still get the bands and gust of winds but not as bad as the west coast.

·1 year ago@southernmermaid8 Dana, I am glad it passed us but so sad how it has destroyed so much. We will see in the morning how much damage it has caused.
I have not yet heard from GG , she posted 9 hours that there was tornados all over. Just sent her a message will wait a little bit and send her another. If I hear anything I will come back here and post

·1 year agoI was trying to reach her via Facebook messanger then I realized I have her cell and her hubby so I texted her . She is fine but a lot of clean up since she had several tornados around her area so the property is a mess.
The internet comes and goes I guess but texting was fine.

I have family and very good friends in the area. My aunt has evacuated but I’m pretty sure my cousin and some of my friends have not. Please lord let them be safe. ðŸ™ðŸ¼
I lived on Amelia Island Florida for 5 years. I also lived in Asheville. My heart can’t take much more. Everyone is sympathetic but anyone who has been through bad hurricanes feels heartbroken watching others go through this.
Mom and I are watching the weather channel on tv. She says hurricane season goes through end of November now. Pray we have no more.
Seems like a good time to say….I love y’all, my joolie friends!

·1 year agoThank you Sarah, I hope and pray everyone survives this monster storm. My husband's sister is living in Fort Myers. Thankfully she lives with her daughter. She has evacuated but she is in her 90's. I hope that there is a home for them to go back to.
