Heads up jewelry sellers
Summary: southernmermaid8 shared a trend they've noticed on a platform where many are selling jewelry jars, with younger buyers particularly interested in 1928 and AVON pieces. dream*peddler mentioned having a stash of 1928 jewelry, while evelyb30 commented on the nostalgic appeal of AVON jewelry linked to family memories. carolbearstreasures07 and others considered selling their items, discussing whether to present them as lots or individually. The discussion included a question about how the interest from younger buyers was determined, with southernmermaid8 citing videos as evidence.
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to mention something I noticed. I’ve been on the clock platform and have noticed many selling jewelry jars. The younger ladies are going gaga over 1928 and AVON pieces, especially necklaces and earrings. So if you have some in your stash you have been waiting to sell now the time.

I've had some luck with 1928, Avon not so much-I'll have to investigate :)

·1 week agoWow. This is interesting. I was just wondering what to do with the Avon costume items I have: pins, earrings, rings and such. Put into a lot or sell individual?

OP1 week agoLook up Jewelry jars on here, they are popular here also. They don’t have to be giant jars.

OP1 week agoPut Avon in the title. Or whatever names you have. The mystery jars are SUPER POPULAR again.

·1 week agoHa! I have 1 measly 1928 hair barrette that has a broken petal. Wonder what the craze is?

OP1 week agoI think it’s because the 20 something’s remember it being in the shops when they were little and maybe their Mom’s bought it. Pure nostalgia. I myself remember looking at a large display of 1928 in our “Burke’s” outlet. They were copying the antique styles so it caught my eye.
They call it vintage too.

·1 week agoOh boy! I have a giant box of 1928. I sold all my Avon earlier this year. I'll have to look at how they're selling theirs. Thanks for the heads up, mermaid!

·2 days agoMe either. Avon was Nay-von for years and years. I had heard that the young'uns were buying it. It's better quality than what's around now, and it's what Mom and Grandma wore. Somehow I don't think Paparazzi will ever make a comeback. Not that it ever had a "come" in the first place.
