first Eye Candy Wednesday of 2026
Post it if you have it! Keep the images smaller to speed loading, and as usual nothing from a live sale.
The cameo was what I thought was lava. Now I'm told these white ones are likely dripstone. (calcite) The earrings were earrings. The big rhinestone cuff came from an Ill Will, near the end of the time when my local one sold jewelry. The stones were glass and the setting was wired in. On the back, hiding, was a maker's mark. Chanel. I paid $6 for it, "I'll take this, please." and sold for close to 10x. Oops!
funky earrings
Probably lava cameo, minus her pin mechanism
Excuse the red shirt

·9 months agoGreat Eye Candy this week! I`ve always loved beautiful glass
Every time I see a piece of Fenton glass..can`t help but think about the time, we visited a guy T worked with. His mother used to work for Fenton many years ago, and he had a built in bookcase in his living room filled with 1 of a kind prototyes that neber got produced for whatever reason, & she was able to buy
This was before Ebay began. He laffed & said that was his retirement. I often wondered what he ever did with them. They were beautiful pcs! Can you imagine the price he got if he came in to Ebay in early days??

·9 months agoSarah,
What a cool Fenton story. I hope they did well. There are people on YT that sell Fenton collectibles for outrageous prices now. Dream also sell her glass elsewhere.
Sandy, Waht a beautiful, feminine Boucher. 💗

·9 months agoHe probably broke up the set and sold it on eBay 😀. Fenton still sells very well. Lots of collectors looking for their favorite style.
Here's another glassy beauty I bought in October. It's a Whitefriars "Coffin" vase in Kingfisher blue designed by Geoffrey Baxter. Not sure where I'll list it yet. I sell most of my glass, porcelain and pottery on another site

·9 months agoGreat story on the Chanel bangle, ev! I once bought a heavy gold bangle bracelet on the $1.99 rack. It had one of those slide bars when opened that was stamped 14k. I guess they never opened it. It weighed a full ounce.
Here are a few things I picked up at an estate sale last weekend. Light on the jewelry. Heavy on the glass.
Nice marked Kramer AB set, gold-filled bangle, celluloid bangle, and Monet bracelet in the front
The best piece in this lot is the Fenton blue opalescent rose bowl. The Fenton custard glass bell in the back is signed and stickered. Controlled bubble pear paperweight, and a carved wooden box to add to my small box collection.
Bohemian cut to green hand painted enamel compote. This came with 3 other pieces.

·9 months agoThanks, scifi! I'm pretty sure it's Moser. I'm still researching. It also came with 3 carafes and an ashtray.

OP9 months agoIt's at the least Czech. The quality is too good to be Chinese or other repop.
