Anyone Know a Fine Jeweler CB Hallmark?

I'm going mildly insane trying to figure this out. I have a 14k white gold wedding band. It is inscribed with 14k, a couples' initials in script, and a year of 1963, so it's vintage. The hallmark is simply the capital letters CB. No periods, no other marks to the hallmark, just CB.
AI keeps trying to tell me it's Standard Jewelry Co, but that was never their hallmark, so AI is nuts.
Getting a picutre of that on a size 4.5 ring is impossible for me and it really wouldn't tell you anything more. It's a simple milgrain white gold wedding band.
I can find images of other rings with the same CB on them, but none of them atribute a maker.

It is marked 14k CB and the rest is an inscription and date. Had to steal that from my own listing on the other site.

·1 month agoThat "arrow" is a small line defect in the ring. I guess I enlarged it too much w/ my iPhone. It's just a plain" CB". That 750 pertains to my ring because it is 18K yellow gold. It's provenance dates it back to 1903 and was part of the Shirley Temple Black collection being sold at auction. The jeweler is Carl Bucherer - a Swiss jeweler famous for watches -- the watch line was sold to Rolex and then shuttered to lack of profit. The jewellery line is still very active and in demand. Boutiques in LA, NYC , Miami, and Chicago.
You might want to look at listing # 204764654020 and see the "CB".

OP1 month agoI looked at the listing. The CB is very close, the font on mine is much finer, but it does not have a European gold mark on it. It is marked 14k only. I believe some European makers marked with both if it was being exported.

I worked for a pawn shop for 9 years selling their jewelry, and if the maker's mark wasn't Tiffany, Cartier or Bvulgari, I didn't waste time hunting down a maker. I doubt that even if you found out who made it, it would make much difference in the price. If someone is looking for a 14k white gold wedding band in size 4.5, I guarantee yours will catch their eye.

OP1 month agoThanks Dream. It's been sitting in my other E store for a while. Its reasonably priced for 14k but simple rings like that are a dime a dozen these days, and it's smaller than the average finger. I was hoping to set it apart from the rest with more info.

·1 month agoPossibly the C.B. Jewelry Company or CB Stark Jewelers.
Also, if it came from overseas sometimes a CB was shown next to a purity stamp.
Just some guesses. Wish I could see the font of the CB......

OP1 month agoThank you for the response. I looked into both companies. CB Jewelry hasn't been in business long enough. CB Stark doesn't use CB as a hallmark. If it came from europe I would think it would have other stamps as well, but it doesn't. By the wear on it and the inscription it is deffintely a vintage ring.

Since you say you found the hallmark just not the maker perhaps cut and paste the hallmark you have found? It may help others to give other suggestions.
