Any idea how old these necklaces are and where they are from?
These two necklaces were given to me by relative who knows nothing about them except that they belonged to my mother-in-law who passed away many years ago.
The beads in the above necklace are glass and there are brass disks to form the other parts. I have found a similar set of glass beads that are described as vintage Murano lamp work beads.
The above necklace also has red glass beads with filigree brass balls and what seem to be white ceramic beads.
There are no marks on anything. Thank you so much in advance for your help. I really appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge.

·6 months agoSeconded. I think someone reused old pieces plus newer pieces to make necklaces. Lots of old necklaces were strung on cotton, and cotton does what cotton will do...bye cotton.

OP6 months agoHere are the two clasps, which are pretty rudimentary (one is broken). I am inclined to think these were most likely made by a beader. Thank you for your help!
