What is this chain design called?
This is vintage 1920's and probably steel. It is the neck chain for pince-nez eyeglasses, gold-filled, possibly earlier than the chain. Chain is flat. Does the design have a name? Thanks for any help.

·2 years agoMany chains have several names and this one is known as a Snail Link or Scroll Link chain - either is correct.

Your welcome, it's an early chain link design and one of my favorites indeed. Funny, I price all the jewelry for our hometown thrift shop and just got done with a beautiful snail chain eye glass holder!
