    Question about a ring

    I assume this ring is stainless steel (silver part) and 14K (gold part)?

    Is that correct?

    Is QG the brand name?

    Thanks.

    Hi there! I'll see if I can help!

    Looks like a men's ring; a lot of guys (my Father included) like steel because it doesn't scratch as easy as gold. QG usually stands for "Quality Gold", meaning that it's probably not a thin layer of gold over top, but to the bottom of the band save for the steel protecting the inside of the ring. The finish is a little tricky to see from this angle, but I'm guessing it's mirror and not brushed?

    I always recommend taking this kind of thing to a jeweler, but for a quick search of similar items, there are a couple of brands that do this style, like Joy Jewelers and Heartsmith. The biggest thing to keep in mind if you do a google search to get an idea of price range, is that you don't want results saying the band is composed of titanium or tungsten; this is probably not a cheap band, but it's practical.

    Best of luck!

    @fabrics24

    Thank you for your reply.

    It's definitely a men's ring (size 15/15.5) and unless any brushing has completely worn off, it's got a smooth exterior.

    I did search and found that titanium is much more expensive than stainless.

    I'm not sure how accurate AI is in this case but from my research, QG (Quality Gold) is the manufacturer. It appears they make generic/inspired brands as well as similar branded names (of course, priced at a premium).
