Is this a Legitimate Trifari mark?
I'm so hoping this is a legitimate Trifari mark, because this brooch is lovely. I haven't seen the mark before. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

OP1 year agoSo, that looks like mine for sure. That's why I was thinking it was an Alfred Philippe or Spaney. There is no crown if you rotate it....I've looked super carefully. BUT...I found this website that shows my mark with the serifs on the T. She's saying 1937. https://www.demarctreasures.com/trifari-makers-marks--trade-marks.html. You have to scroll down to near the bottom of the Makers marks and trademarks page.
Also...check this one out. Unmarked....grrrr.

OP1 year agoAlso, Kate Spade renewed a couple of old marks in 2006-2007 according to this same site. She renewed the mark on mine with the serifs, but clearly mine isn't that new.

OP1 year agoThank you. I'm thinking this looks like one of their 1937 marks. Would you agree with this? Could this be an Alfred Spaney? Also...there is no patent mark. Did that happen? Hmm... Any more thoughts for me?

·1 year agoAlright, I went down a mini rabbit hole.
I have to disagree with @silverstatetreasureboxes about the mark in the image she posted matching the one on your piece. Here's a slightly larger version of her image (link).
The reason is because your piece @rosemary5325 has serifs on the T while the mark in silver's pic does not - I threw it in Photoshop to adjust resolution and clarity to confirm. This (link) is a super clear example of the logo from silver's pic.
That doesn't mean your piece isn't Trifari, it just means I don't think the marks silver found match your piece. So far I haven't found a match to the one you have.
Do you see a crown above the T when you rotate the piece? Typically the T with serifs is topped by a crown.
Scroll to the bottom of this website (link) which has a great reference list with makers mark information and dates.
Here are a few more images with Trifari marks I found on Pinterest.

Yeah, I agree it didn't match, don't know why I included it. Here is a lovely brooch on the bay, I've included 2 pics and the MM shows up pretty clear.

remember when dealing with Trifari, buyers love the crown trifari the most, or designer affiliate like this one is I'm showing. Hope this one helps better!

Yes it looks like one of their many makers marks
although my shot is a tad blurry due to this old search site.
You are missing a stone in your lovely piece just note it on description.
