Help identifying jewelry maker
Hello all,
Would anyone be familiar with this brooch and earring set? I have researched for weeks and have found few leads. The comparable pieces I’ve seen are attributed to Charles Horner but finding evidence that this is correct information has been a dead end. I sure would appreciate any help. Thank you much!

·2 years agoI have serious doubts this is Charles Horner. I see no indication that this is silver and he was known as a silversmith. It's not the style of his work either. I saw the listing on Esty and can only say, it's their reputation.
I have had a couple oof these types of pieces and they are truly lovely. These Bi-Color stones are also known as Cuba and Kreol Rhinestones. I have never been able to id a maker. You might check out Hobe, or Kramer. I have seen a set of the large Bi-Color stones done by BSK, but they didn't have mesh surrounding them.

OP2 years agoI agree. Horner’s work is much earlier. One article…post…said his heirs continued the family business under Horner’s name, but that was another rabbit hole I got lost in without discovering any helpful facts. I don’t even know if I will list it, as it was my grandmother’s. Thanks for the tips on the stones. I have a list of vocabulary (somewhere) but those are not on it. I’ve searched for the prongs on the brooch, as they are quite distinct, and saw some while researching a different piece, but couldn’t find my way back. I will try the brands you suggested.
