Ffraudulent description

Had anyone else experienced purchasing a piece of jewelry, from India, marked 14k only to have it professionally analyzed and found to be a lower than sterling grade of silver? Along with several other discrepancies in the description?

14k = gold

925 or similar = silver.

Are you talking about vermeil? How are silver and gold marks being confused?

I’d stay away from both India and china for anything that might be faked or adulterated.

It does not really matter whether or not this has happened to others, you evidently received an item that's not as described.

Have you opened an item not as described case with eBay within 30 days of receiving the item?
