Fairly new to costume jewelry... please help point out best things in pics
I'll be attending a sale soon with a lot of beautiful costume jewelry and need help spotting things that are the winners in the lot. Any very desirable vintage pieces here.... and any that look more than likely to be gold?

·9 months agoWithout seeing the backs, who the makers are, it's rather hard to give an answer as to whether these are any good. The only one that struck me was the 'ANN TEXAS' pin, this pin/brooch is quite possibly a political pin for the election of Ann Richards, the first woman to be elected governor of Texas back in the '90's.
Most of this jewelry looks to be 80's era - Big Hair, Big Jewelry. Good Luck with your shopping. One thing you might want to do before going is to look at the various eras here & etsy to see what's selling. Also go to a couple of costume jewelry collectors sites.
