Duplicate listing from two different sellers
I have been doing some pricing research on a watch that I'm thinking of selling - an Omega Speedmaster Michael Shumacher automatic chronograph with yellow dial. I noticed that there were two different listings for what appears to be the exact same item, but from two different sellers. The item numbers are 154327215905 and 184719179319. The photos of the item for sale in both listings are identical, including the serial number. Both sellers are in Japan. I tried to report this situation to ebay but there wasn't an appropriate category. There was a category for duplicate listings by the same seller but not duplicate listings from different sellers.
Is this practice within the ebay rules for selling? Am I overreacting?

·1 year agoI cannot give an opinion as to whether it's 'legal', but if you wish to report it to eBaY keep in mind that watches are considered jewelry.
Try the following:
1] open the listing and scroll down to "report this item";
2] Click on "Listing Practices";
3] In the next field click on "Other Listing Practices"
4] In the last field click on "Jewelry, precious metals and loose beads";
5] Fill in a short description and send it off.
Not sure any action will be taken, I've sent dozens of reports for very blatant policy violations and eBaY has NEVER taken action of any of them... and yes; I DO go back and check!

·2 years agoI don’t think eBay cares anymore. These people are doing this to drown the competition. I’m dealing with this myself right now and it’s really frustrating that they’re not even acknowledging my complaints about it.
