Dispute Decision
Case ID: -5342709999
I don’t understand why the decision favored the buyer. The shipment was handled by an eBay authenticator, yet the customer claims they did not receive the item, and a refund was issued. Where is my mistake in this? I have lost both the ring and the payment.

·1 year agoIf you have confirmation that GIA received the item, eventually you will be reimbursed. In my experience, GIA uses second day FedEx except when the buyer is near GIA's Carlsbad campus.
If GIA received it and it was never shipped to the buyer, GIA is liable. If GIA shipped it to the buyer, but the package got lost, the courier is liable. Your recourse is with those as long as GIA received the item.
If the buyer is a scammer that somehow received it but figured out a way to claim he or she didn't, then all bets are off.
Good luck, and let us know how it turns out!

·1 year agoWhat's the item number @bmggemsandjewelry21 ?
Was the total (item+ship+tax) over $750 and if so, did you get signature on delivery to the authenticator?
Does tracking confirm delivery to the authenticator?
Did you add tracking to the INR (item not received claim) when the buyer filed the claim?

·1 year agoBeing authenticated and a Not Received claim are 2 different things.
What shipping service was used?
What does tracking show?
When the buyer filed the Not Received claim, did you upload tracking into the claim?
