Bracelet identification
I found this very cool bracelet, and google gives me William Kerr or Frederic-Jules Rudolphi, quite a difference in value. There's nothing exact for sure. It definitely tests as sterling, but has no markings.

Kerr has a lot of angels, but most of them are cherub busts, and there's much more emphasis on defining the round lobes of the feathers on their wings, rather than the fluffy veins like I see in this piece. I wouldn't say it's impossible, but it just looks...so much like something that we know for a fact is a Rudolphi.

OP4 months agoThank you so much! I was looking at that, too. I sent to an appraiser, and she came up with William Kerr, but I do not think that is correct. I'll forward this to her to see if she can find more information. I saw another bracelet on ebay that sold recently, and it seemed to have the same clasp. Thanks for your input!

·4 months agoBetween those two, and assuming it's not a reproduction, I'm leaning towards Frederic-Jules Rudolphi.
Here's a pin that was definitely made by him; the shape, hair, and tooling on the feathers and scroll of this angel are nearly identical to the details on your pendant. If the bracelet is a reproduction, it's a very faithful love letter to the original.
If it's not a reproduction, my guess is he might have had a mold for this angel, but did the refining and tooling himself to make each piece unique. The clasp on yours, though a bit hard to see, looks like it could be a bolt spring ring, which was popularized in the 1840s. Most of his work is from the 1850s, so that checks out!

·4 months agoThe swirly pattern on the back looks like it could be his maker's mark, but the bracelet could be older, a practice piece, or any number of things.
