Authenticity program
In a matter of two days, I have had three David Yurman items kicked by the AG Program, I have read that they are using AI now...they indicate they cannot authenticate, not that it isn't authentic but they just can verify it...What is up with that, then they return it, hold all funds including their fees and state you cannty relist it..Has any one else had this problem and how do I fix it????

Is CYA to avoid accusations of errors and omissions.
The same technique is used in some medical tests, where the results are indeterminate.
There are a lot of lawyers on this planet.

·5 months agoWe've had several platinum rings authenticated without a problem. If it is .900 platinum, you need to list it at .900 platinum though. On pieces that we didn't know what the purity was because they were just stamped "PLAT" or something, then we say that it is "platinum of an unknown purity, but we will guarantee it to be at least .900 (90%) platinum". That has worked every time for us.

·5 months agoEBay's authenticity program is a joke. They failed a ring I was selling saying 900pt didn't qualify as platinum jewelry so my heading was incorrect. Since when? 750pt has been considered jewelry grade platinum since forever. I won't sell high quality jewelry on ebay any longer and I've been selling for 15 years. Especially now if they are using AI.

·6 months agoI'm not doubting that this is happening to you. But as someone who does not typically sell designer label jewelry, the authenticity program has been very good for us.
If they reject every legitimate designer piece, they might as well say that they don't allow sales of those pieces. Seems completely dysfunctional to me. There are not getting a selling fee of anything that doesn't sell!
