Are there fakes of John Hardy jewelry?
Just wondering if there are knockoffs of John Hardy jewelry. Last summer I bought a pre-owned bracelet that looks similar to the "dot" bracelet, but I don't know how to tell if it is genuine. Thanks

·2 years agoVirtually everything of value in today's world is counterfeited, especially expensive designer goods. This is not news; it has been going on for decades. Logos are not the only thing to check for; some forgeries are very, very good but experts can almost always spot differences. Many items such as expensive golf clubs or sneakers may look identical to the real thing on the outside, but when you cut them open you can see that they are missing vital parts or were manufactured cheaply. Regardless of the type of item, the only true way to know that you are buying authentic merchandise is to get it directly from the manufacturer or an authorized dealer. There are a few resale sites like "RealReal" that do a good job of authenticating goods, but I guarantee that sometimes counterfeits fall through the cracks.
