Authenticity Guarantee is a complete SCAM - I see it over and over on these conversations

Sold a David Yurman bracelet that I purchased at Neiman Marcus, sent it to authenticator without any thoughts, get a note back that "item did not pass authenticity".  Why?  Nothing, no explanation, no comments.  I appeal.  Same comment.  Didn't pass.  I write and email, no information back.  It didn't pass.  Meanwhile the buyer, who has never bought on ebay, who took the time to try and buy it outside of ebay, leaves me crap feedback after receiving the refund.  So now I have bad feedback after 20 years of selling and no response from ebay.  No information from ebay whatsoever, even though I send the receipt.  What a joke.  Such a scam.

      Slower sales than ever

Has business been slow for a few weeks or what? I'm 17 years on eBay and never seen worse even when I first started. I have about 1,400 items and having back to back zero days. It seems things went sour about the time the WAR started if I'm not mistaken. We may be forced to leave eBay.

R hallmark with two bars above and below

Hello folks,   I've been unable to find info about this hallmark on my mother's charm bracelet. She started adding charms to it in 1933 when she was a teenager in the Chicago area. Any ideas on who could have made it?   Thanks in advance.

Yet another negative feedback! The truth verses how the customer "feels"

Another unbelievable negative feedback, and another unbelievable eBay denial of removal of the feedback.  I sold a 12K SOLID GOLD necklace.  I had it appraised at a jeweler before selling it on eBay.  The customer purchased the necklace, and more than a week later (after gold prices dropped,) the customer started a return and left me a negative feedback.  They claim the necklace is 12K 1/20 gold.  I appealed this feedback to eBay.  1.  They refuse to look at my appraisal that will verify the content of the gold.   2.  They told me that the negative feedback can't be removed because "this is how the customer feels!"  Although the gold is solid 12K, the customer "feels" like it is not!  I can't tell those who are reading this how many times negative feedbacks were not removed because of how the customer feels rather than what is the truth.  I have been ripped off so many times as a seller, and often, receive a negative feedback in the process.  Rarely will eBay remove the negative feedback because the customer "feels" differently, even if they completely lied and made up the feedback and the ripping me off. 3.  As always, I have to go through the 40 minute process of filing a BBB complaint.  This helps get some of the negatives reversed, but not all.  I have provided eBay hundreds of thousands of dollars since 1997, yet I feel like eBay could care less.  As a seller, you've got it made.  You can return a rock instead of a valuable item, have to fight extremely hard for eBay to listen to what happened, and then the buyer leaves you a negative after stealing from you, and eBay might not remove it because the customer feels like lying today. 4.  Most of my jewelry sales and coin sales are always being sold on other sources due to eBays unbelievable support of the customer and lack of support of the seller.  It is unfortunately that the seller has to deal with this type of stress (not receiving support from eBay.)

Wanting to sell a diamond ring for 1K-Questions re: shipping and Ebay Auth Svc

I am wanting to list a ring for about $1K (original appraisal is included). Should I add signature required or any other additional service to show proof of delivery? Which shipper is recommended: USPS or UPS?  I believe this will qualify for Authenticity Verification and that it is a free service by ebay.  I can calculate the shipping cost from me to the buyer, but wanted to know if ebay charges the seller a shipping cost to send the item to them (ebay) for the verification as well? Just trying to understand what my total fees/costs will be. Feel free to include any other advice in your response as well. Any responses are greatly appreciated.

✨ Which Ring Would You Choose?

If you could add just ONE ring to your collection this month, would you choose: - Classic Solitaire - Gemstone Rings - Signets - Statement Piece Drop your choice in the comments! I love seeing everyone's style preferences, and it helps me bring more designs you'll love to my eBay store. [Message edited by mod - Advertising]

      Sterling ring ID

This is another longshot, but I was hoping someone might recognize this insignia.  It's a sterling ring engraved inside with the date 1928.  Thanks.

      Buyer Bware

BUYER BEWARE: Always calculate the price per gram before purchasing gold jewelry online. This 14K “solid” white gold Cuban chain: • 35.63 grams • 4.3mm • Machine made • Offered to me at $11,620 That equals approximately $326 per gram. Current 14K melt value is roughly around $60/g, meaning the actual gold content is worth only about $2,100–$2,300 before labor, overhead, and reasonable profit. Even accounting for craftsmanship and retail markup, buyers should understand the difference between: • melt value • fair market value • luxury retail markup Always compare: ✔️ total weight ✔️ price per gram ✔️ hollow vs solid ✔️ handmade vs machine made ✔️ clasp quality ✔️ current gold market A high “discount” percentage off an inflated MSRP does not automatically make something a good
