I need to know what to do. I did not get what I thought I was purchasing.
The seller titled this listing as plural Pillowcases Ralph Lauren Darby Patchwork Standard Pillowcases Vintage

Good condition - no stains or holes but there is some fade

So I bought them. Pillowcases. It suggests Plural as in Two pillowcases
I just got the pillowcase, one pillowcase, so I messaged her to ask her what happened? She told me the listing is for ONE pillowcase.
She tells me if I am not happy send the one pillowcase back for a refund. She will be happy to refund my money.
I bet she would.
Except I bought these on purpose. I am not sending the one back because she made a mistake.
What am I supposed to do? This seller won't admit she made a mistake in the listing. She won't offer to make things right and on top of eveyrthing else she over charged me for shipping.
I tried contacting Ebay but has anyone gotten Ebay on the phone lately? So I tried contacting my bank and filed a complaint with Visa/my bank.
What do I do in this situation? I didn't make a mistake. It says Pillowcases. It says Pair. It says These.
I don't know what to do. And don't tell me to send this one back. This particular pillocase is kind of on the hard side to come by Which is why I was so delighted to find Pillowcases !
Help, what would you do? Ebay is no help as I just got this today and it says to contact the seller. I did. The seller is completely uncooperative.

OP2 years agoI talked to someone at Ebay and they helped walk me through doing a return. She said even though I am doing a return request I don't necessarily have to return the one item I did receive. Now its up to the seller to respond and I am hoping for good results. Ebay says they have me covered no matter what. So it is good to know that Ebay still has our back. Thank you all. I am hoping for good results.

·2 years agoBTW, don't file a dispute with your c.c. Once you do that, you'll lose your MBG protection. You won't be able to file through ebay.
You'll win the dispute for NAD and filing with your bank should be your last resort.

·2 years agoeBay cannot make the seller send you another pillowcase. The listing is misleading, it does indicate a pair of pillowcases. You have to decide if you want to keep it or if you want to open a return for "item not as described" and the seller will have to send you a shipping label and you send it back for a full refund of the purchase price and the shipping cost.
That is all you can do, pick what makes most sense to you.

·2 years agoIf this was the $64.95 pillowcases I personally would Open a Not as Described . It does say Pillowcases.
All other listings show the number of pillowcases. There is a single pillowcase that is the exact design that sold for $20.00.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the most misleading listings I've seen and the seller's response is irresponsible. I understand your disappointment.
What's shown in the picture is irrelevant. Many sellers show one of an item that may come in pairs and in the case of RL linens, many sellers don't even remove the items from their original packaging.
In the listing, I counted 9 times that the seller used "pillowcases" (plural) in the title, item specifics and description.
And in fact, the last paragraph refers to the "pair of pillowcases," the stylelish nature of the pillowcases (plural) and how "these pillowcases are a great addition to your collection."
No where in the listing does she specify that there's just one pillowcase.
As for the return, if you want a refund, you must open a return request for NAD (not as described) and she'll have to pay for the return shipping label. You have to send them back for a refund unless she issues a refund without requiring the return.

·2 years agoI found the listing, my first thought when I read the listing is that maybe they used an AI tool to write the description for them. Don't know why, just kind of a gut feeling. "Not only stylish but comfortable to rest on" to me just sounds like AI talking. Who "rests" on a pillow case. I lay my head or sleep... not rest. 🤷â€â™‚ï¸ Semantics? Who knows.
That or they copied and pasted? I doubt they would mistakenly write "pair" if there was only one.
Pictures showed 1. The price point appears less than half that of the other seller that has a PAIR. So that was a redflag for me.
I don't blame you, I just see this as being a 1 item listing despite the verbiage used very poorly. I am in disbelief this seller could write such a listing with so many plurals and indications by mistake. Just feels they didn't write it.
Personally, I would return it as NAD. Or eat it. Really no other options...
