·3 years agoThis is a wooden transfer or slide board. This board acts as a bridge to allow individuals to move from one seated surface to another, such as from a wheelchair to a bed.

·3 years agoThis is a transfer board used for a person in a wheel chair...The opening in the board is used as a place
to put your hand thru when carrying the board around...
.........................................................................................................
For example when a person who can not stand and walk and is in a wheel chair you do the following..
To get a person into a car..(who may be an amputee)>>
>Open the passenger car door
>Pull the wheel chair up beside the front seat on the passenger side.
>Pull up the arm rest on the left hand side of the wheelchair..so it is out of the way.
> Put one end of the board (above) on the passenger car's seat and the other end on to the edge of the wheelchair's seat..
> The patient then slides across the board from the wheelchair on to the front seat of the car..
> Pull the wheel chair out of the way and close the front passenger car door..
> The patient is safely in the car...

·3 years agoJust to note, it's very dirty, might lightly sand it if you are going to sell it.
A magic eraser might clean it up pretty well. But it's almost too nasty to use on a patient.
