Is that bag coated with something? It looks like it has been dyed or something?

I believe you are mistaken. It's not a 1960s Bonnie Cashin (or any other Coach) bag.
Based on what I see of the quality (or lack thereof) of the bag and the fact that there's nothing indicating that it's made by Coach (or Bonnie Cashin), my opinion is that it's a generic leather or leather-like bag.
You need to end that listing and relist it as the no-name bag it is.

Assuming you believe that the bag is "Coach," how do you prove it? If your buyer opens a dispute for NAD (not as described) claiming it's counterfeit, you do realize you're on the hook for the return shipping label and a full refund, right? And your seller metrics will take a hit for a NAD claim.

OP5 months agoIt’s in the listing that there is no identifying tags, labels- or cartamouche.
it is up to the buyer to determine whether it is worth the money. I know for fact it is coach. In regards to specifics, I did some research- and that is what I’m bringing told. My return policy is stated in the listing.

ETA: I'm assuming that a potential buyer contacted you and referred you here. Instead of knowing-it-all, you should have thanked them because they were trying to help you protect your account and reputation.
If you need further opinions, either confirmation of what you claim to know or a correction to your own knowledge, there are other purse forums where you can ask about authenticity.
Personally for my own account, I wouldn't want a ding or any damage done to my reputation. YMMV.

·5 months agoSo there IS a Coach stamp?!? You're the one who said there were no markings. I figured you'd gone over the bag to search for it.
I'm glad you found it.
That would make the bag a Coach bag (not BC, though it might have been based on one of her styles) style 9210.

OP4 months agoI had my bag authenticated- you reported my listing as counterfeit- so EBay removed it. You are not knowledgeable. My bag is authentic; and valuable. It will sell for at least $500. Shameful.
