Need help authenticating a Coach purse
Summary: a.p.treasures sought help with authenticating a Coach purse. vintagecoachcult was unable to view the handle picture but mentioned that the seamed edges often had issues. It's been a while, but I recently found this Coach purse and I am wondering if it is authentic. I wasn't able to find anything like it on eBay. Any help is much appreciated.

·3 months agoThat looks like sloppy sewing, maybe on a Monday, Friday or right before the factory worker's vacation.
But yeah, it happens occasionally.

·1 month agoI can't open your handle picture but the seamed edges of these handles was many times askew. Yours is like the ultimate prized purple station bag made in 1993 in the USA....a VERY sought after bag....congratulations!

OP2 months agoQuestion about Style 5130. The creed has 1231-333 on it - how does that mesh with the Style #?

·2 months agoUntil 1994 the style numbers were not stamped on the bags. Instead each individual bag had a registration number stamp. In 1994 they began using the production code (letter/numbers before the dash) and style numbers (after the dash). If you can find an old catalogue from the 1980's when production began for the Station bag (1983?), you will see that the style #5130 was assigned to the bag from the very beginning, but not stamped on it until 1994.
