My purse is not a counterfeit.

My purse was marked as counterfeit and it is not. My appeal was denied (fairly quickly) so I paid to get a certificate of authentication. My Item # 318511689606. How do I solve this?

路1 month agoI can't comment on the authenticity of Coach, but if @albertabrightalberta says it's not authentic, I would trust her.
FWIW, LegitGrails is absolutely AWFUL at authentication and has been for YEARS. A COA from them would mean -0- to me as a customer.

路1 month agoI'm so sorry but ebay's removal of the listing was correct because the bag isn't authentic.
For comparison, look at the font/spacing/serial number of your creed vs. one from an authentic bag (different style) made in the same month/year - September, 1997.

OP1 month agoI was told it is a 9023 authentic with side clasps in this style were done for one year.

It is copying the style (Winnie) 9023 but just because a bag has the "correct" style number doesn't mean that the bag is correct.
There's more to determining authenticity than just a seemingly correct style number that seemingly matches the bag it's on.
If I'd paid LegitGrails for this "authentication," I'd demand my money back or I'd file a chargeback through my payment source.
I'm sorry but they were wrong and it's not the first time.
Please feel free to refer LegitGrails to this thread if you think it'll help you case.
I'm so sorry this happened. You were fooled twice, first by whoever sold you the bag and second by the unknowledgeable company you paid to authenticate it.

路1 month agoHonestly? Probably best to sell it elsewhere now that you have the COA. Even if you get permission from eBay to relist it, I would not be shocked if it gets pulled again. It is hard to get off that train. If you do relist, make sure to take completely new photos and create a completely new listing, including title.

路1 month agoI don't think anyone is happy with the way AI has taken over.
There are even some "authentication" companies that use AI for their COAs. My opinion is that skilled human eyes are more accurate at assessing authenticity than AI.
The way AI works is that the information is fed into their "systems" to create algorithms to determine what is accurate and to remove or adjust errors.
In the handbag category, one in which I'm quite familiar, I've seen mistakes but unless the companies are made aware of their errors, they can't fix them. (And in some cases, companies may have been made aware and they don't even care to fix their mistakes.)
In fact, there's a well known, high volume charity that uses one of the AI authentication companies (the name starts with "E") but rather than notifying the company and getting them to adjust their algorithms, they blindly accept the "accuracy" of their COA, simply issue refunds to buyers who complain and they relist and resell the same items with the same COA.

路1 month agoI saw your pictures. I'm sorry that the AI was right in this instance. I hope you can get your money back from the authenticator. In addition to the creed, the stitching looks a little sloppy and even the material looks off.
You definitely do not want to list that for sell online anywhere else either. Please do not donate it either as it keeps it out there for another reseller to pick up thinking it is legit.

What kind of appeal are you attempting?
Early in the thread, you said you appealed and were denied.
After paying for an authentication, did you re-appeal? But why?!?!
The company from whom you received your COA gave you bad information. Although they deemed the bag as "authentic," there's NO QUESTION it is not authentic.
Instead of appealing ebay's correct removal of the listing for a counterfeit Coach bag, you should be going to LegitGrails and demanding a refund. They have no business authenticating items that they don't know well enough to authenticate!
