For those who are amazed at the amount of money women spend on a handbag
I like quality items but prefer to find my nice items at thrift stores where the employees who price their inventory don't know the brands/items/value. (And FWIW, Hermes isn't my style, but......)
Original Birkin bag sold for $10.1 million!

·1 year agoHave to admit it's been probably 50 years or more since I've bought a purse at a regular store.
And I am so ignorant/uninterested in whether or not it's a "designer" bag that a relative had to point out to me that my purse was a Louis Vuitton and my wallet was also a designer item. Had bought both at a thrift store for $12 or so, which, to me, at the time, was a lot of money.

·1 year ago😮 That’s crazy!! Imagine the insurance the buyer will need to carry on that bag…
and I’m with you, I like hunting for treasures at the thrift stores where the employees aren’t familiar with the lesser-known designers—I recently bought a Bottega Veneta intrecciato purse for $4.99. I almost fainted when I saw it lol
