Ebay Authenticator Experience
Hi, I want to start selling authentic/original handbags and shoes through Ebay.
I am very careful with the products. I am going to sell the products with dust bags, shopping bag, tags and everything.
My concern is how ebay authenticators will manage my products?
Do they package it again as it was?
I want my customer receive a perfect package and have a good experience unboxing it.
What was your experience with ebay authenticators?
Regards,
Lory

·1 year agoI have also heard where some of the dust bags have been discarded and not sent along

·1 year agoThe irony of that is that they compare the listing to the actual item and if they don't match, the bag fails, not for authenticity but for not matching the listing.
So if the seller describes the bag as coming with a dustbag and paperwork, they certainly should be forwarding those items to the buyer!

·1 year agoI've never purchased an authenticated handbag so I don't have first hand experience with how items are repackaged. However I've read complaints here and on other purse forums from buyers and sellers who allege that paperwork, dust bag, receipts, tissue, etc. has not been sent along with the bag.
I honestly doubt that an outside 3rd party cares as much as a seller does about "presentation." JMHO.

No they do not repackage as you had it in my experience.
After authenticating the original dust bag is folded up and placed in the box. The handbag is placed in an eBay dust bag with a tag of authentication attached & placed into the box.
That's been my experience unless it's changed recently.
My experience with smaller jewelry items was better. It's the same but the item is placed into a small eBay bag that seems decent quality then placed back into the seller jewelry box.
That said, things do change so perhaps the handbag experience has changed or perhaps different "authenticators" repackage differently.
This was just my experience.
