Authenticate Dooney & Bourke
This is a D&B Smith bag that I purchased from ThredUp. Upon receiving it, I noticed the Florentine duck logo is missing from the front of the bag. I’ve compared the bag to the archived listing on D&B site, as well as bags listed on eBay and etc platforms. Overall the bag checks out, it’s just the missing logo for me. ·2 years agoI have no doubt that the bag is authentic.
Whether Dooney made different versions of the leather bag or not, I don't know. (The signature version doesn't have the duck emblem.)
It's possible it might have been a mistake or an oversight if they forgot to add the duck during construction.

OP2 years agoI was thinking this too, a QC oversight, perhaps sold at ILD. I was pretty certain it was authentic, but it always helps to have another pair of eyes look over it, just in case.
