1970s Coach Clutch Information
 
 
 hello! I would be grateful for any assistance on this one. Just got this beautiful coach clutch with wristlet strap appears to be from the 1970s according to all visuals. I know that they transitioned to having registration numbers and serial numbers from the late '70s to the '80s. So I'm thinking this box is blank because it wasn't included on this particular bag. I have noticed that similar ones have a glued on patch in that box. Any thoughts on authenticity? Also is the lack of a serial number/registration number in that box increase the value? ·1 year agoThe pouch is authentic but I don't know the name and style number.
The creed originally had a separate piece of leather on which the serial number was stamped. That piece of leather was glued on to the creed but often, they fell off and got lost.
The existence or lack of the glued on patch doesn't change the value of the item.
