I'm an avid thrifter and have been an eBay seller for almost 15 years. Unfortunately, I kept buying things to sell but just stored in boxes and didn't list on eBay. Now, I have over 90 banker boxes full and 2 closets filled with items that have not been listed on eBay. Looking to see if anyone has some great suggestions on how I can most effectively get things listed - without me having to do it all myself.
I live in NW Phoenix and was hoping to connect with some people in my general area.

·4 months agoHi Vicki! I just focus on one box at a time - and more importantly - try not to buy anything else! I keep telling myself - there will always be more when I need it, but right now - I don't. I have a goal sheet with little bubbles that I fill in daily of how many new items I list and try to delist/ relist 5 old ones and change up the title. I can't tell you how much of a difference that can make in refreshing old items. My bottleneck is the photography, so I am hiring a photographer to help with getting the pictures done and hopefully that will encourage me to get the new listings done!

·4 months agoHello, I was kind of in the same issues. But with a storage unit as well as a full garage and 1 room full of stuff in various boxes.
But I managed to get thru most of the listing of stuff. But I did it by myself.
I just made it a point to go through a few boxes at a time taking pictures first, lots of pictures with my I phones, having the pictures loaded up on I cloud.com. Then writing a general listing and just modifying the listing for each item.
Now 4 months later I only have a 3 full sized 8' by 4' steel shelves to go. Then I get either sell the shelves or take my time getting more stuff to sell. But i will not let it get out of hand like it did for years.
I know that is not what you wanted to hear, but I had no choice and no helpers to assist me. But it is a way of getting it all done.
And I listened to music to make the time go by faster. It only takes a few hours each day to get it done. And then deal with the sales and packing later.
Also the sold units can be sent out every few days if your local mail person does not want to pickup packages.

·4 months agoHi Vicki,
I just joined here and I feel like I could have written this myself. LOL. I am in Surprise. My most favorite thing to do is thrift. I have been an off and on eBayer since 2001 and have gone round and round with myself collecting things and getting rid of things. MY, how the times have changed. I do everything myself and I feel like you really have to be dedicated to the craft to make any money. I know that doesn't help but just my two cents. Cheers.
