·1 year agoI think the only "authentication" you might get from Coach would be to have damage repaired. It's likely it would cost for the repair but it's probably the only way to find out. But do you want to damage it just to find out whether they know the answer?
(Even then, it's possible that the alleged "sample" serial number might also have them questioning it too.)

·1 year agoOver the years, we've seen many items (usually bags though there have been others) with "00000" or "99999" style numbers. Usually, the prefixes have had production information rather than the 00000 prefix as is on your jacket.
Such items are alleged to be "samples" or "prototypes" although not a single piece of evidence has been shown that proves the items were actually made by Coach.
Sellers have made various claims - purchased from sample sales, bought from employees, items were gifts to employees and other undocumented "assurances" or authenticity. But in every case, if the items were indeed obtained as claimed, there'd have been some type of documentation to prove it. Yet no one has had receipts or paperworks to prove it.
The bottom line is that whether an item is a genuine (or not) Coach sample, gift or prototype, authenticity needs to be able to be proven yet such items cannot be proven to be authentic and no dependable human (or AI) authentication company would be able to state that such an item is authentic.. And as such, those items shouldn't be sold since it's up to a seller to know (with 100% certainty) that items they list are authentic.
If you're going to keep the item for your own use and are happy with the quality, that's fine. But if you're going to sell it, I wouldn't recommend doing so.

·1 year agoActually, I (literally) just did a search to try to find another like the OP's jacket and came across a definite fake! (Yes, they will fake anything they think someone will buy.)
