eBay has not responded to my three reports of counterfeit merchandise. What can I do?
I received counterfeit perfume, contacted the seller, who promised full reimbursement, no need to return goods as long as I give positive feedback. The seller blamed the supplier. I cannot ethically give positive feedback so I contacted eBay three times about the transaction. I have had no response from eBay but the seller keeps asking me for positive feedback. What recourse do I have and how can I help to protect the eBay community? The seller still has similar merchandise for sae on eBay.

·8 months agoYou received an item that's not as described per your message. Per eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, the appropriate action to resolve this issue is to open an item not as described case with eBay.
From your message, I can't tell whether or not you did that. You have 30 days after receipt of goods to open the case.
Why would you even consider positive feedback for a negative experience. And, BTW, sellers are not allowed to do that.
The MBG offers good protection to the buying community, to you as well as to any other buyers who have a negative experience here. Have you read it?

·8 months agoIf you received counterfeit perfume, request a return through Ebay for Item Not As Described.
Contacting the seller was, predictably, a waste of time.
Even if he is telling the truth, that is irrelevant. Buying perfume online, unless you know the seller is a a manufacturer authorized reseller is likely to lead to receiving a counterfeit.
Even some large chain stores, have sold counterfeits they had obtained outside authorized distribution channels.

·8 months agoJust open up a return request. Don't have any more contact with the seller directly.
