Your briefcase is a style #5180 Metropolitan Brief Bag in British Tan Leather. That’s not a style number, or a Serial Number, its a pre 1994 random registration number for warranty by Coach when they did that. Yours was made in the early 1990's. The bag is absolutely authentic and appears to be in amazing condition.
I believe it's a Metropolitan, style 5180 but please wait for confirmation of the style.
You wouldn't (or shouldn't) find anything on the serial number as it was made prior to 1994 and has a random unique serial number.
