Authentic Passementerie Hermes Scarf?
Hello, I recently purchased this scarf from a seller in Japan. Photos from the listing were not as zoomed in as needed to see some problem areas. I am questioning the authenticity of this scarf because the lines are not as crisp as they could/should be and some color seems to be on the “wrong†side of the line. Also, the stitching of the hand-rolled hem is not as even as it could/should be. As far as I can tell the care tag looks okay. Please let me know your thoughts as to the authenticity of this scarf. I know nothing about scarves but I do know something about art. The design on the scarf looks to me as though it is meant to depict a watercolour artwork. When you look closely there is a bleeding of colour across lines that would be expected in almost all watercolour art. Its just a natural characteristic of the medium. Not sure if this translates to Hermes scarves. Good luck. I hope it's authentic.

Although I've owned several Hermes scarves and I know authenticity if I have it in hand, your pictures and concerns are valid.
If you search "marietouchet Hermes scarves" you'll find your way to a very knowledgeable Hermes expert when it comes to scarves. When you post there to verify, refer to the yellow highlighted post at the top of each page of the Hermes scarf authentication thread for the information they require.
I hope it turns out to be genuine.
