Advice on Authenticity of a Vintage Christian Dior Scarf
Summary: jasmina2000 seeks advice on a vintage Christian Dior scarf that has a different silk texture compared to others in their collection. They inquire if the variation could be due to the period it was made and whether the scarf shows signs of being inauthentic or simply aged. They mention hand-rolled edges and defects visible in photos.
I would really appreciate your advice. I have several vintage Christian Dior scarves, and one of them has a noticeably different silk texture compared to the others. Could you help me understand why that might be? I have read that the silk used for Dior scarves can vary depending on the period when they were made.
This scarf also has some defects, which I have included in the photos. The scarf has hand-rolled edges.do you think — does it show any signs that it might not be authentic, or could the differences in the silk and the condition simply be due to its age and period?
