Thinking of Buying a Laptop – Why Choose a Mac?
Hi everyone,
I am considering buying a new laptop. I don’t absolutely need one right now, but I’ve been eyeing a Mac. As an IT person, I’ve always viewed Macs as a bit overpriced—maybe more about the brand than actual value. Still, I’m open-minded and curious to try one, but I’d like to understand if the cost is really justified.
So, here’s my question: Would you buy a Mac? If yes, why? What are the real, practical reasons people choose Macs and stick with them long-term?
P.S. Please skip the “Macs don’t get viruses†argument—I know they can, just not as often as Windows PCs.
Thanks in advance!

The company is also known for its top-notch customer service. However, if you’re into gaming or crave a touchscreen, you will be disappointed.

·10 months agoYour question is asked by many people. I often ask myself the same question: which is better, a Mac or a laptop? The thing is, there's no clear answer. The Mac is an entire culture, an entire era. And so it's the same as a specific car brand. You either love it and stick with it your whole life, or you use completely different products. So the choice is yours.

·11 months agoDon't. If you really like Unix-based OS over Windows, then just run GNU on non-Apple hardware. Paying extra for hardware so you can use a specific Unix-based OS is wild from a computing perspective.
