Multiple sellers listing new ASUS ROG Strix Scar laptops for 1/5 the price

Hey y'all, just want to put out a warning. There's multiple brand new sellers {accounts made March 7th, 2026) from supposedly different parts of the USA that are listing "ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 Gaming Laptop, 18” Nebula RTX 5080, Intel Ultra 9, 32GB" for $499, which is about 1/5 what that laptop actually costs new. Clearly either a scam, or they 'fell off the back of a truck'. I bought one to find out for sure, and while the listing I bought from says Houston, it was supposedly shipped last night via UPS in Middleton, PA. I'll update this post when it gets here tomorrow, as to whether it's real or total **bleep**!

Scam. Total scam. Dude sent *something*, but to some address on the other side of town. Ebay wound up giving me my money back.

The fake tracking scam is hard to beat through Ebay, unless you know how to do it.

Did you ever get it? I keep seeing similar listings for the ASUS ROG Strix and Zephyrus G16 and i'm just thinking "theres no way these have to be scams surely"
