Long ribbon cable.. Please help!
Hi,
Even though I paid $51.60 for a used item that does not worth $10, I still went ahad and ordered the folowing fingerprint board (https://www.ebay.com/itm/234948679798) and installed it on my HP Zbook Studio G5 but I faced a problem as the ribbon cable is too short to connect it to the port!

Unfortunately the seller, netsalesnc, does not care as he did not even bother to reply to any of my messages!
So can anyone please help me locate a compatible ribbon cable?

Your seller accepts returns. You must pay to return it with tracking. shipping. It might not be worthwhile to return it as the seller can deduct the original shipping cost from your refund.
You can go to the order details in My eBay Purchases and return it. This opens a case. The seller can ignore messages from you but they shouldn't ignore the return item case. If they don't offer to accept the return go back to the case after 3 business days and ask eBay for help.

·2 years agoIt looks like you ordered the wrong type of cable. The final corner on the cable is turning in the wrong direction, so it won't fit in your application.
You need to look for a cable that looks the same as the one you are replacing. I see several different configurations are available, so you need to look closely for one that is the right shape for your application.
