Item Not Arrived - USPS Says It Was Delivered
This is the second time this has happened to me and I don't believe I'm the first this has happened to.
I ordered an item and eBay emails me the progress of the order. Then I received an eBay email telling me my order has been delivered but it hasn't.
In rare cases the item shows up the next day or so but a number of times it hasn't shown at all. I then contact the seller and inform them that the item shows delivered but it wasn't. Sometimes they respond by telling me to wait a few days and other say "sorry" it shows to be delivered.
Sometimes it just reversed - my account shows the item is in transit but I have already received it??????? I contacted customer service and they basically tell me that the
item shows to be delivered and there is nothing they can do. So I'm out the cost I paid for the item. Who do I complain to? What can be done?
Does anyone know how this process works? Does the USPS tell eBay the item has been delivered when it hasn't? eBay has got to be notified by the USPS right?
How else would they know it's been delivered or "so called" delivered.
Is there any recourse for this situation? Has anyone - seller or buyer - had this happen to them????????????
