Car issues.... trying to get off that medication and having withdrawal symptoms.
Sunny and 60 today.
How are you?
Home from the hospital, really tired. Had more tests today - will learn about those on Monday at dr appt I guess. What is wrong with your car? Sorry - I did not go back and read all the pages I missed. My apologies for that.
I am really sorry about your meds. My docs have changed mine up as well - I think that is why I feel so exhausted every minute - I think it is medicine related, but not really sure. Wish they had elaborated more about why they were tweaking my meds and what the changes would likely mean for me, etc. I asked so little and DH was at work every day, so I was trying to advocate for myself, which is a recipe for disaster when you are inpatient. I guess they could have told me and I did not understand, either. Couple of days are a whirlwind blur and I felt so lousy that I tried to sleep as much as possible the first 3 days. Begged to be released on my birthday - still felt miserable, but wanted to feel miserable at home, not cleveland clinic.
Feel better, soon. Chronic health issues really take their toll on a person - I never used to have chronic issues, but guess that has changed for me. Depressing and consuming some days. I am truly sorry you are dealing with issues of your own. Life can be so very stressful some days. (which since Nov for me, is an understatement....lol)
Saying "hang in there" seems trite, but meant well towards you. All the best. Katz
@katzrul15 Sorry to hear about your health issues. Cronic health issues is something a lot of people just dont understand and its very hard to explain.
A guy asked me how I was the other day. I just answered great. People so dont get that every day is a struggle some days are just an extra struggle.
Stress is not good for most chronic diseases.
@pargran3 The sun and warmth would sure be nice.
My car is ok i guess. Its almost 10. Has all the electronics and electronics dont work forever. Cars now dont last as long as the older car. They have more bells and whistles but sure not as reliable with all the electrical computer stuff.
The car seems to have an electrical gremlin. So far as long as I turn off the radio before turning off the car, it will start. (insert eye roll here)
Battery, fob battery, starter and alternator are all fine.
Sorry your meds are causing you fits. I have had to be super careful about potassium for Dennis because of his lessened kidney function. I am assuming your doctor has told you what foods to avoid to limit intake of potassium. No oranges, no cantalope, no bananas, no dairy milk, no brown sodas. And if you take a vitamin/mineral supplement make sure it is not loaded with potassium
I know you probably already know all that.
I am not doing much. I fell down the front step when carrying a box of books to the car. A couple of cracked ribs and a twisted knee. Ouchy.
my potassium has always been fine, even with the kidney issues. I have blood work all the time and this time it just went really high.
I didnt notice because the symptoms are normal for lupus and fibro.
I did a bunch of research on the cymbalta Im taking for nerve pain and it is not listed as a side effect but in the study there is a little blurb at the bottom that says in rear cases it may cause high or low potassium.
For now we are playing with dosage and the potassium level is going down.
Sitting at Quest Labs awaiting blood work mandatory for day job insurance! Not fun day - pouring rain, temps plummeted and they made me fast and with my heart meds, makes you light headed, queasy w/o food in your system
Never mind, I am starving!!
@klhmdg - my heart meds can raise my potassium levels dangerously. Take care of yourself - high potassium can cause several neg health factors and fatigue is one. Often mimics anemia, I guess.
@pargran3 - need to get more sorted for the church thrift donations. Hoping when the weather is more consistent, I can.
I am moving slow too. Getting a lot of nothing done.
Ditto on the feel better!! @pargran3
Went to a "live" auction today. 2 carloads later, I found some great deals for re-sale and got 3 really nice pieces of furniture for DS for when he moves this summer into an Apt to start his new job. $92 total. Amazing sale - no one came to it. Shame too....really great stuffs, not much bidding.
@katzrul15 I dont really like bananas so I was confused as to why it is high. Lots of things I eat have it.
I have called twice and the Dr hasnt returned the call.
I did some research and think it is a medication Im taking. It is a side effect in a note on a trial that was noticed but not often.
Its always something. I didnt take the medication today. Hope they call me or I will work on weening myself off this...I think it is the high potassium that has been making me feel so awful.
I think sales are doing something too.... shhh! Im going to just go with it and not say anything.
Got ready to price booth stuff. I can't find my price tags. I will make do. Phooey!
The booth did some business in Feb. Not great, but better than it has been. My sales here are up slightly too, compared to the past few months. Still dismal compared to prior years, but I will take what I can get.
I have one going out today. I sold an Avon bottle. LOL
Had to travel today again for work (Friday was a haul - today was tornado warnings blaring thru the car radio about every county back thru southern IN to Ohio...........)
REALLY high winds driving today. Hard to keep your car on the road!
Was pretty warm when I left at 5am to travel. Much cooler tonight. BRING ON SPRING!
We aren't having the high wind, but my car is a block of ice. It isn't going anywhere until there is some sun to soften up the ice. Couldn't even chip it off to get a door open, not that I wanted to.
I agree - comfort food and a nap sound like just the thing.
I used to like business travel but it was 1 thing that I sure didnt miss when I quit and reevaluated what I wanted to do for the rest of my working years. LOL
I am officially tired of winter. It is two degrees. Flakes of frozen white stuff are falling from the sky. My car doors are frozen shut. Ick ick ick. I shouldn't complain, though. Dennis' brother in Minneapolis just got 15 inches of snow.
Anyway, @klhmdg I hope you were not too uncomfortable at work. You are having some unusually cold temps for your area.

I like to drop off at Value Village because of the 20% off coupon they give for donations.
Any little way to save. There are no stores close by here.

Sorry potassium is still high. I am on heart meds and have to watch potassium closely. Too bad, I love bananas too.
Hope they get it all sorted out soon!
Had 6 sales total today between the 2 accts and 4 yesterday. Couple nice profit ones.
Little pickup in sales - no idea why?? Grateful, though. 🌻🌹🌼

Did the booth do well last month?
Well, it wasnt called for but we finally got hit with 4" of the white cold stuff.
No plows out last night so the last 6 miles home was all curves and hills with solid white highway.
No lines or even proof you were on the road. I made it so I guess thats all that matters.
1 to go out to the PO today.
